And so it begins...

Welcome to The Po File
(Hang on - it's gonna be a bumpy ride!)

As you have probably already deduced (as this blog's target audience is intended to be the more analytic and conclusive members of the cyberworld) this isn't going to be the usual "themed" blog. This blog is going places others typically fear to go.

This blog is going to take you on a journey from the beginings of creation to the end of time (2 bonus points for whoever knows what movie trailer that's from). We're not going to solve the world's problems here - although I do fervently believe the world would be better off if it just listened to me more often! - but it will (I hope) expand your mind on a variety of subjects. And possibly make for some good dinner conversation at your next get-together (no charge for the subject matter but the copyright still applies).

Most of all this blog is about topics that are important me. My interests and opinions spread far and wide. I've been around the world, seen and done a great many things, met a great many people. So I have lots of fodder for this type of venue. I am not going one of the countless blogging lemmings tripping over each other down the hill and off the cliff of blogging oblivion trying to write the greatest blog on the topic de'jour.

As always, I'm not going to hold back my opinion on people and things just for the sake of "Let's all just get along". Sometimes it must be said the emperor has no clothes because it is the right thing to do. The difference between me and some others is I will sight in detail why I take the opinion/stance I do. If someone is insulted - you've been warned.

I will try to post as often as I can but I do have a very full life outside of the computer (though my wife would definately disagree!). So check back often. Or better yet, subscribe.

Join me as we step off the safe path and down the road less traveled.
One way or another it will be a trip to remember!
